Polish Goverment has decided to organize a special extra set of Kalinouski program, after the “Solidarity” Commitee send its request for helping  the students who took an active role in presedential elections and were under the threat of criminal prosecution.
59 young Belarusians were invited to Poland for getting the opportunity to participate in preparatory courses of Polish language and culture, that will run until September 2011. After completing coursework, students will be sent to study in Polish universities. In March fellows were gathered in Warsaw for the impressionable cultural program: excursions, lectures, visits to key institutions of Poland. After that some of them will stay in Warsaw, while others will go to Krakow and Wroclaw to start learning Polish.
" You came to our country at the right time - Barbara Kudrycka, Minister for Science and Higher Education of Poland appealed to students during the inauguration of Kalinouski program on March 21 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland .- After the tests, you have experienced in belarusian winter, Polish spring and solidarity, we hope, warmed your heart and sole. The Minister expressed confidence that the time that Belarusian students will spend in Poland, is going to be very interesting and important to them,- “you will be able to bring home a huge store of knowledge “.
- The first six months they will live in cities, where the student's life does not stop even in summer, - said the program director Ian Malitsky .- Preparation courses in Warsaw, Wroclaw and Krakow, will help Belarusian students to adapt and understand their new opportunities. Every student will be provided a grant - 900 zlotes a month, place in a hostel, and several other privileges.
Krzysztof Stanovský, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, stressed the fact that Belarusian students were invited to the ministry, where the highest level meetings are held. This suggests that we consider these students as a generation, responsible for the democratic future in free Belarus.
 The event was attended by the Head of "Solidarity" Committee Ina Cooley and leader of the Movement “For Freedom”, Alexander Milinkevich. They called greetings to the young people  and at the same time reminded about the great responsibility.
- You have to study good and behave honestly for such support and care,from Polish government and ordinary Poles. Belarus will be judged on your marks and behavior,- Alexander Milinkevich said. - Participation in the program is not a guarantee, it's a great chance to get European knowledges, a European diploma to be more useful for their homeland to build a democratic society in Belarus .
Kalinouski Program was founded in Poland,  as a joint response to the events in Belarus, March 30, 2006 and signed by Alexander Milinkevich and Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz, approved by the Conference of Rectors of Polish Academic Schools (KRASP) and the Conference of Rectors of Polish Universities. 244 individuals from 77 different directions  were adopted to study in the first year of the Programme in July 2006, 44 people were approved to study in the fourth set in 2009.
