Former leader of “Bely Lehiyon” Syarzhuk Chyslau Arrested

Syarzhuk Chyslau, a former leader of “Bely Lehiyon” (White Legion), was arrested on July 7 and now stays in remand prison in Akrestsin Street.
Radio Svaboda has been informed about that by the activist’s mother Halina Chyslava with a reference to her son’s lawyer and KGB officers who held a search in her summer cottage near Minsk on July 8.
KGB officers have also held a search in the apartment of her daughter Natalya and seized an empty pack of jelly and half-empty can of lacquer.
“They were looking for explosive material and said that my son should answer for everything, that he had done a lot. But Syarhei couldn’t have done anything against people, he is a believer,” Halina Chyslava says.
As said by her, more than a year ago Syarhei Chyslau left for Moscow. He carried on business there.
