Search in the apartment of underage Young Front activist
A criminal action has been brought up against a 16-year-old activist of the Young Front, Ivan Shyla, on charges related Article 193 Part 1 (activities on behalf of an unregistered organization). A decree about that was delivered to him on May 11 by an investigator of Salohorsk regional prosecutor’s office Vitold Alyakseeu. He asked Ivan Shyla about activities of the Young Front and his participation in this organization. Ivan’s father, Uladzimer Shyla, refused to give evidence against his son. After the interrogation in the prosecutor’s office two KGB officers started a search in the apartment of Shyla family, the UCP press-service informs.
One of the KGB officers who was taking part in the search, S. Dzemidovich, many times interrogated the young activist. There were two interrogations last year, in the case of the Young Front leader Zmitser Dashkevich, and in the case of 5 Young Front activists from Minsk this year.
At the moment KGB men are making an inventory of property seized from Ivan Shyla, including papers, a notebook, and badges with national symbols.
